Builder Wheels Happy Birthday revisited

For this card I have used marina mist for my base. I have also used the triple cell cartridge and inked it with wild wasabi, rose red and marina mist. These colours go really well together. I have also stamped the balloons from "party this way" in the same colours. The ribbon trim is also marina mist.

Stamp Sets: party this way, builder wheels - birthday, so many stars, candle craze,
Card: Marina Mist, whisper white
Ink: marina mist, real red, wild wasabi
Accessories: builder wheels, spindle, stampin around jumbo handle, triple cell cartridge, marina mist grosgrain ribbon

Builder Wheels Posy Party and Bees & Blossoms

The Cards that I have posted today I have used the builder wheels. These wheels are so versatile. This first card I have stamped on whisper white using basic gray. I have then coloured in with the Aqua Painter using the Watercolor Wonder Crayons. The whisper white is layered on tempting turquoise base. The happy birthday greeting is from "Party this Way" stamp set.

Stamps: Posy Party builder wheel, bees and blossoms builder wheel and party this way
Card: brilliant blue, whisper white

This second card I have used as my base the retired colour 'brilliant blue'. With my wheel this time I have inked up in ballet blue and riding hood red. I used the spindle with the spacer in the middle which created a space to put my greeting and my ric rac ribbon.

Bliss Punch Bunch workshop card

I thought I would show you one of the card’s I did for a workshop yesterday.
I have used perfect plum and elegant eggplant ink on a perfect plum base and a whisper white layer. I have sponged the edges to create debth. I inked my main image up in perfect plum and then used a sponge dauber around the edges with elegant eggplant. For the scallop circle I stamped the image from the SAB punch bunch set in both perfect plum and elegant eggplant. I have then punched out with the 1 1/4" circle the centre flower and layered it on top of the scallop circle stamped in elegant eggplant.

It's a variation on the card that I used for my mail out for the SAB promotion. For that card I used Tangerine Tango which you can see below.

This second card uses pacific point and tempting turquoise.

This last card was the card that I sent out to customers with the SAB promotion. I stamped using tangerine tango. With this card I embossed the scallop circle image in whisper white on Tangerine Tango then restamped with Tangerine Tango on whisper white.

All three projects used:-
Stamp Sets: SAB Bliss, punch bunch
Accessories: Scallop circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, distressing tool from cutter kit, sponge daubers

Inlaid technique part 3

Stamp Set: SAB – punch bunch

Paper: tempting turquoise, whisper white

Inks: Tempting turquoise, baja breeze, marina mist, pacific point, not quite navy

Accessories: scallop circle, square lattice textured embossing folder

Inlaid technique (Part 2) meets baby wipe technique and printed petals

I just love this technique, it's such fun. Here is another variation of the technique using baby wipe technique. For this technique you use a baby wipe as your stamp pad and ink by adding drops of reinker to the baby wipe. I have stamped the image which matches the scallop circle punch from the "Printed Petals" stamp set and have used rich razzleberry, regal rose, rose red, tangerine tango, daffodil delight and pretty in pink stamped onto whisper white. I then have stamped on my layer of regal rose using the small flower from "Printed Petals" stamp set. The centre image is using the "for you" image from SAB punch bunch.

Stamp Sets: Printed Petals, SAB Punch Bunch

Paper: Whisper white, regal rose

Ink: rich razzleberry, regal rose, rose red, tangerine tango, daffodil delight and pretty in pink

Accessories: scallop circle punch, 1 ¼" circle punch, square lattice textured embossing folder

Inlaid Technique Part 1

I've been playing around with the "Inlaid Technique" recently. It's a great technique. You punch out some shapes, glue them to a whisper white layer and then run it through the bigshot using the Square Lattice embossing folder which is in our current mini catalogue (page 17).

We will be doing this technique at Creative Card Group at Bel Air Baptist Church on Thursday 31st March at 7.30.

Here are some sites that I got my inspiration from:-

Kerin Sylvester over at Stamping 411

Kathy at Stamping Still

Nicole Derendorf

The first card, I used the circles # 2 die through the Bigshot. I then punched the circles out using my circle punches, layering them inside each other.

Stamp Sets : punch bunch SAB

Ink: baja breeze, pacific point

Paper: pacific point, whisper white, marina mist, baja breeze

Accessories: big shot, circles die, circles punches, scallop circle punch, square lattice embossing folder

My next card I used some ends from the Top Note die and punched the Happy birthday stamp with the square scallop punch.

Stamp Sets : punch bunch SAB

Ink: not quite navy, baja breeze, pacific point

Paper: not quite navy, whisper white, marina mist, baja breeze

Accessories: big shot, circles die, circles punches, scallop circle punch, square lattice embossing folder

My last card I used the birds & blooms sizzlit dies through the bigshot and punched Fancy flower punch in whisper white. Sponge around each piece using different inks Glue them to the card and run it through the embossing folder and the bigshot.

Stamp Set: Punch Bunch (SAB)

Ink: concord crush, elegant eggplant, rich razzleberry, melon mambo, perfect plum, regal rose, pretty in pink, garden green, rose red (greeting)

Baby Tees

The triple cell cartridges that are in the Summer Mini are great for using with any jumbo wheel. They give a bright cheery feel to the Baby Tees Jumbo wheel.

The card above I have used wild wasabi for my base card and whisper white for my layer.

The inks I have used are wild wasabi, pumpkin pie, tempting turquoise.

The card below this time I have used marina mist for my base card and whisper white for my layer.

The inks I have used are wild wasabi, rose red and marina mist.

My first workshop with a scrapbook layout

A customer set me a challenge recently to do a scrapbook page for a workshop. Here is what I came up with.

I decided to use Greehouse Gala DSP and showcase the Scallop Square Die from Stampin Up.

I started by creating a 6 x 6 layout that could be converted into a 12 x 12 page.

Stamp Sets: punch potpouri

Ink: baja breeze, pacific point, tempting turquoise, marina mist

Paper: baja breeze, whisper white, greenhouse gala dsp

Accessories: bigshot, scallop square die, boho blossoms punch, 2 step bird punch

With this page I used the scallop square again but this time used the green in the Greenhouse Gala pack. I also cut out matching squares from baja breeze and pear pizzazz. I embellished both with flowers from the boho blossom punch using the stamp set punch potpouri.

For a different look altogether I then mounted The original 6 x 6 page on a piece of A4 chocolate chip cardstock, I then added a strip of the greenhouse gala dsp to it and then mounted it on a 12 x 12 piece of whisper white cardstock. I stamped "Friends Never Fade in chocolate chip in the right hand corner and in baja breeze stamped the boho blossom flowers down the left edge in baja breeze.

Sweet Summer ric rac border

This is one of the cards that we made at this month's Creative Card Group at church.

It is using Sweet Summer set from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. I have coloured in the images using Stampin Up's Watercolor Wonder Crayons.

The background is done with the scallop edge border punch. I saw a great tutorial for it from Mary Fish at Stampin Pretty. You can see her video here.

It's a great technique using the scallop edge border along both edges of a thin piece of card stock, with one edge being off centre.

Stamp Set: Sweet Summer

Ink: basic Gray

Paper: Bashful blue, whisper white, marina mist, pretty in pink, pink pirouette, baja breeze, wild wasabi, certainly celery

Accessories: Scallop edge border punch, Stampin Pastels, Blender pens.
