Bouquet of Thanks in Orchid oasis

 

Todays card is inspired by a sketch from Try Stampin' On a Tuesday # TSOT558


Another great sketch challenge.  I am really loving the new in colours from Stampin' Up!s latest catalogue.  Today my base is orchid oasis and I have paired it with the 2-22-2024 in colour designer series paper.  I have then stamped the bouquet of thanks and cut it out with the largest circle die from the stylish shape dies.  I then have taken a blender pen and coloured the flowers by just using the stamped image.

Flowering Fields dsp meets Sunday Stamps Sketch #SSC284

 

The card I bring you today is a sketch challenge from Sunday Stamps.  I have been a follower of this blog for a while and get lots of inspiration from those who participate.


My card features Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper, which has the most pretty tulips.

Stampin Dreams Blog Hop - Ombre effect


Welcome to another Crafty Collaborations blog hop.  This hop is focusing on Ombre effect.  


Todays cards feature the artistic mix decorative masks again and I chose blues to create the Ombre effect.


The masks make it so easy to create vibrant backgrounds which are great to use with lots of different colouring techniques.  To create the Ombre effect, I used my blending brushes and started with night of navy, then starry sky, orchid oasis, pacific point, Tahitian Tide and lastly pool party.  For my first card I used the bough punch and punched out leaves in the same colours I have sponged with.  The sentiment is from Happiness Abounds, and I used my Stamparatus to ink up with Tahitian Tide, then dabbed pacific point, starry sky and night of navy with a dauber, making the sentiment Ombre.


On this card my focal point is a piece of card, sponged with the same colours in the background, then cut out using the palm dies.

Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - Frames

Todays project is inspired by Crafty Collaborations Technique Tuesday blog hop and the focus is on frames.  


I have chosen to use the Fancy Frames dies from Stampin' Up!  These are new in the catalogue and I love that they are the perfect size for a card front.



On my first card I have used the fancy frames die to cut out a piece of Flowering Fields dsp which gives an interesting pattern forming the frame.  It also cuts out the centre, which I have raised up on dimensionals.  Sentiment is from Happiness Abounds.


My second card I firstly created the background using the Artistic Mix decorative masks using Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Starry night.  I have then run it through with the fancy frame die.  The frame by itself is so pretty, but really pops when you add back the centre piece.  I have taken a Wink of Stella pen and highlighted the mosaic pattern and added some glossy dots which sets it off nicely.  Sentiment is cut from the Stylish Shapes dies and sentiment is from Happiness Abounds.

I love both effects, either using dsp or creating a background with a mask, it would also look great with a stamped background.  Drop a comment below to let me which one you like the best.

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #PCC473 meets artistic mix decorative masks

Inspiration for this card came from a sketch from the Paper Craft Crew.  


My card features two new products from the the new annual catalogue called Artistic Mix Decorative Masks and Stylish Shapes dies and highlights.


The masks are great  for sponging the rich colours of Stampin' Up!s new incolours.  The colours I have used are Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis.  The focal point is also a mask, and contrasts really well with the background.  Sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set


The dies are great and created the circles and banners and were perfect for this sketch.
