Elegantly Said on shimmery white emboss resist technique

I just love the Elegantly Said stamp set, it's so versatile and have been playing with it all day.

On this card I have used the emboss resist technique on shimmery white cardstock.  Stamp using versamark, then emboss with clear embossing powder.  Heat set.  Sponge using the blending brushes with pale papaya, fresh freesia, polished pink.

Stamps used:  elegantly said

Card: fresh freesia, basic black, shimmery white

Ink: versamark, pale papaya, fresh freesia, polished pink

Accessories:  clear embossing powder, tailored tag punch, white embossing powder

Wild Roses Emboss Resist Technique

Stampin Up has just released the new January to June mini catalogue and Wild Roses stamp set on page 30 caught my eye.  It’s a very detailed floral background stamp.

My first play with it was to try the emboss resist technique.

Firstly, I stamped the image in Versamark and added clear embossing powder then heat set.

Use a tissue to buff off the ink on the embossed image.

Beautiful Day on glossy cardstock

I love the effect of emboss resist on glossy card!!  My first card I have stamped using white craft Ink the flower from the beautiful day stamp set.  I then have done the polished stone technique on the card using Isocol.  My base card is soft sky, and have stamped the flower to match up with the flower on the glossy cardstock.  I love the two tone this gives.

The second card is a variation of the first card.

My third card I used sponges to ink up the glossy card, using tempting turquoise, pool party and marina mist.  I then stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I stamped the flower on whisper white using memento ink and cut it out using the brother scan'n'cut machine.  Greeting on all three cards is from You're Inspiring stamp set.
