Painted Trees embossing folder

Todays card is a quick simple card using a new range of papers from Stampin Up - they have introduced some two-toned cardstock and the colour used here is Garden Green. I have cut a base and the top layer out of the the garden green. For the base I used the darker side and top layer the lighter side. The two tones are very elegant with a white layer in between. I have run the light garden green through the Painted Trees 3D embossing folder. I then used sponge daubers to apply ink to the raised trees with granny apple green, old olive, garden green and shaded spruce. To accentuate the trees I’ve added some Wink of Stella to the raised trees.

Products used:-

Paper: garden green two-tone cardstock

Ink:  shaded spruce, garden green, old olive, granny apple green

Tools: painted trees 3D embossing folder, sponge daubers, wink of Stella

Another Decorative Trees CASE

I'm having so much fun playing with the Decorative Trees stamp set and today I have another CASE.  Todays card was inspired by Vicki Boucher and you can see her card here.

My card starts with a basic white base and a pretty peacock layer which is stamped with drizzling droplets in whisper white craft ink.  I have die cut the trees from the decorative trees dies and stamped the focal image in pool party (the outline image) and pretty peacock.  Happy Christmas is inked and die cut in pretty peacock.

Todays card is a CASE.  I saw a card from Lou Kitzelman that I just loved and knew I had to try the technique with the Decorative Tree dies.  I am so happy I did, the technique suits this tree so well.  You can see Lou's card here.

Decorative trees and a sketch challenge

Todays card features a sketch challenge from Create with Stamping Friends CSF835

I started with a base of basic white, and my layer is also basic white, sponged with pretty peacock ink around the edges.  My shape on the left is from Countryside dies and is cut out of pretty peacock and embossed with the new Painted Trees 3d embossing folder and then sponged with whisper white ink using a sponge dauber.  My two parallel strips are the  dry brushed metallic specialty papers.  The tree is stamped and die cut from the decorative trees bundle.
