This coming Tuesday night at Bel Air Baptist Church "Creative Card Group" we will be using the Dasher stamp. I just love using glossy carstock. I decided to try a technique that I haven't done before but have seen it alot on the blogs that I visit. It's called "Reflection Technique".
Cut glossy card in quarters. Punch out a circle using a post it note, making sure that you cover the sticky part, place on your card. Ink up brayer in pool party and run this over the glossy card, covering it completely. Next ink brayer in baja breeze and run this over the glossy card horizontally, covering about 3/4 of it. Now ink brayer with marina mist and run over 1/2 the card horizontally. Run through bigshot with the topnote die. Stamp the large tree image from "lovely as a tree" set over the top portion of the card. Rub the anti static pillow over your card. Stamp "Dasher" using versamark watermark. Pour "cherry cobler" embossing powder over the image. Heat set. Stamp the large image from the "lovely as a tree" set on a large acrylic block, if you haven't got a large acrylic block use acetate with the marina mist ink. Turn the glossy card upside down and now match the image so it is next to the first stamped image. This gives you the "reflection".
For the background layer, I have used the vintage wallpaper folder and rolled this with the brayer inked in whisper white craft ink. Place a piece of island indigo cardstock in the folder and run through the bigshot. It gives a beautiful two toned effect.
Here is a closeup of the reflection.

Triple Treat flower
Here are my workshop projects that I did last weekend. I have used the "triple treat flower" stamp. It's an amazing stamp. It coordinates with the fancy flower punch, the 5 petal flower punch and 1/2" circle punch.
With this card I have stamped the "triple treat flower" in calypso coral then used the fancy flower punch. I then stamped again in lucky limeade and punched with the 5 petal flower punch and lastly stamped in wisteria wonder and punched out the centre with a 1/2" circle punch.

Telescoping Cards Part 1
Here are the cards we made at Bel Air Baptist Church Creative Card Group for the Thursday class in September.
We tried the Telescoping technique. This is where you have 3 varied sizes of circles and place them on top of each other in size order. You use plain circles or scalloped, plain cardstock or designer series paper (dsp). You can even use square shapes.
With the main image, I have used the rock n roll technique.
There are many tutorials on the net. The one I found helpful was from Dawn Olchefske.
