Classes at Belair for the month of Jan 2024

 This month our cards are going to feature the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and the Softly Stippled designer series paper from this years SAB 2024 catalogue.  

I just love the cascading pattern you can make with this new Heartfelt Hexagon Punch, it is so versatile and looks fab punched out of the Softly Stippled dsp.  My 3rd card is a CASE from fellow demonstrator Rebecca Scurr and you can see her card here.

Pyramid Card meets Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper

This coming Sunday At Belair Creative Cards we will be making a Pyramid or Teepee card.  This is a fun easy fold and looks fabulous!  Come and join us, we would love to have you!!

Stamp set:  Tidings & Trimmings
Ink: Cherry Cobbler

Paper:  Basic White, Painted Christmas designer series paper, Cherry Cobbler

Technique:  Pyramid Card, Teepee Card

Accessories:  bone scorer, painted labels dies, give it a whirl dies, paper trimmer, adhesive-backed velcro dots

You will need:

Cut 3 squares of basic white 10.5cm x 10.5cm - score on the diagonal on all three squares.

Cut 2 squares of Painted Christmas designer series paper 10cm x 10cm - cut both squares in half on the diagonal.

Die cut the swirl die from the Painted Labels dies out of an 8cm x 8cm piece of cherry cobbler

Die Cut the scalloped circle die from the Give It a Whirl out of a 7cm x 7cm piece of Basic White.  This will give you a circle and a scalloped ring.  Stamp your sentiment on the circle.

Creative Cards at Belair March 2021

At Belair Creative Cards this month we are focusing on the Icecream Corner Suite of products. 

The first card is a fun fold idea that I saw on Shannon Colon's blog

The base is cinnamon cider, the folded layer is petal pink, and the triangles are so safron, and the scalloped circle is terracotta tile with a whisper white circle.  DSP is Ice Cream Corner.  The icecream cone is cut out using the coordinating ice cream cone builder punch.  The belly band is vellum with a strip of Ice Cream Corner DSP.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays stamped in Blackberry Bliss.

My second card is also another CASE, This time from Patty Bennett.  I made my card into a book fold card 

Card:  Whisper White, ice cream corner dsp, so safron, pool party, petal pink, soft sea foam.

Ink:  Bermuda Bay, petal pink

Accessories:  Halloween night enamel dots (retired), ice cream cone builder punch

Belair Creative Cards July 2020 classes

Creative Cards are back on this month!

We will have our usual classes - the last Thursday of the month (30th July at 7:30pm) and the last Saturday of the month (25th July at 2:00pm) at 130 Garden Grove Parade, Adamstown.  

Covid-19 restrictions will be in place - Attendance recording, Hand sanitising, social distancing etc for your safety.

The cards we will be making will be using some new product from the upcoming August - December Mini Catalogue.

We will be using the Dove of Hope stamp set and Detailed Dove dies along with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP to create 2 beautiful cards.  

These 2 cards use a single sheet of double sided dsp, you can choose which side to use. 

Belair Creative Cards - Feb 2020 - Timeless Tulips

Our class this month will focus on the Timeless Tulips stamp set found in the new Stampin Up mini catalogue.  This stamp set is a photopolymer stamp set and is so easy to work with.  It has a coordinating punch which cuts out beautiful images and is super versatile.

Creative Cards at The Grove July 2018

This months Cards use the stamp set dandelion wishes and the darling label punch box.

These first two cards use the dandelion wishes stamp set. This first sample uses glossy card.  I love the feel of this one, with the colours blending really well.

This second sample uses whisper white. The images are crisp and clear. Which one do you prefer?

Our second card uses the stamp set from the darling label punch box.  The kit contains the stamp set, the punch, a block and two Stampin spots - grapefruit grove and night of navy.I just love the elegance of this card.

Card:  whisper white, glossy white, basic black

Ink:  crushed curry, mango melody, rich razzleberry, tuxedo black 

Accessories:  post it notes, sponges

Belair Creative Cards class this month learns Black Ice Technique

This month at Belair we will be learning a new technique called Black Ice Technique.  A fellow Stampin Up demonstrator, Melissa Kerman came up with this idea.  Google her name and the term Black Ice Technique and you will find lots of inspiration.  You can see a blog post of hers here.  .

On my first card I have used a piece of silver foil cardstock.  Swiped the foil with black archival ink.  I have then stamped the flower in archival Black.  Heat set.  I have applied versamark straight over the top and then added embossing powder over the top.  Heat set.  The flower has then been coloured with Stampin Blends.  Add more versamark and clear embossing powder and heat set again.  Layer on a piece of black mat.  Layer on the base which is soft sky.

My second card is a variation.  On a piece of foil card, apply ink as on our first card.  Emboss with the flowers from petal pairs textured impressions embossing folder.  Swipe the archival Black pad over the raised image.  Apply the versamark over the top and add clear embossing powder.  I just love the way this has turned out.  Layer on basic black and then on a whisper white base.  The greeting is from Beautiful Day stamp set.

Belair Creative Cards February 2018

This month we will be using the stamp set Petal Palette. This stamp set is so pretty and very versatile.  It has a whole suite to compliment any project you make with this beautiful set.

This first card is on a base of soft sky.  I have used the square frame kits cut the bubbles and fizz dsp and create a whisper white frame. I have stamped the bird and flowers in memento ink and used Stampin Blends to colour in.  Colours used were pool party and old olive.

The second card is on a base of pink pirouette with a layer of black run through the big shot with the Petal Pair textured impressions embossing folder.  The flower is coloured in with calypso coral, pumpkin pie and old olive.  This is layered on top of copper metallic thread.  The greeting is from Perennial birthday stamp set.

Carols of Christmas - Belair Creative Cards Class for August

This month in both our classes we will be using Stampin' Ups! "Early Release" Carols of Christmas bundle from the "Occasions Catalogue" that is released in September.

The two cards that we will make at our Thursday night class this month use Beautiful You stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue, the second card uses Touches of Texture which is in Stampin Up's annual catalogue.

Creative Card Group at Belair Baptist Church Saturday 25th March 2017

This month at Belair Creative Cards we will be using the stamp sets Oh So Succulent, Birthday Celebrations, Artistically Awesome.

My first card featured below uses Oh So Succulent bundle.  Base is whisper white, the dsp is Succulent Garden.  Inks are soft sky, dapper denim, calypso coral, watermelon wonder, mint macaron, wild wasabi, peach parfait, pumpkin pie.

My second card I cased from the very talented Patsy Waggoner.  You can find her post here.   It uses Balloon Celebrations bundle.  Base is Soft Sky, layer is whisper white which has been embossed with the lucky stars textured impressions embossing folder, clouds cut out from the Up and Away thinlits dies.
