Music from the heart gift card holder

Music from the heart stamp set is a perfect companion for a gift card holder, especially if that holder has an iTunes card in it!!

Step 1.  Cut A4 card in half vertically.
Step 2.  Fold in half and score.
Step 3.  Fold edges back in to towards centre.

Step 4.  Slide folded edge into a circle punch 1/2 way.

Step 5.  Using window word punch (retired), line edge up with edge of punch sliding 1/2 way in and punch.  Do this both sides.  This creates the opening.
Step 6.  Glue around the edges to form a seal for the card holder.
Step 7.  Decorate.

Stamp Set used:  Music from the heart, perennial birthday, epic celebrations (retired)

Good Morning Magnolia meets Spanner Panel Three Layer Fun Fold technique

I saw this fun fold card this morning in my email feed from a blog that I subscribe to from a fellow demonstrator Wendy Lee from CreativeLee Yours.  You can see her amazing card here.  The technique is called Spanner Panel Three Layer Fun Fold.  I then googled to see if I could see any other cards with this technique and found a great video tutorial from Susan Campfield here.

For my card, I decided to use some new product that I received last week.  It features the good morning magnolia suite of products.

On the front panel I have used the magnolia lane bulk dsp together with the detailed bands dies and the small flower from the good morning magnolia stamp set stamped in mossy meadow.  I then cut a second flower with the die and layered the vellum leaves sandwiched in between.  The greeting is from last a lifetime stamp set on mossy meadow and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The card base is petal pink.

I added a panel of whisper white on the bottom panel with a strip on each side of the magnolia lane bulk dsp, then stamped the greeting in the middle with mossy meadow.

Scrappy strips meets forever blossoms

Yesterday I had an awesome time watching a Facebook Live from Paula Dobson who is a fellow Stampin Up demonstrator from New Zealand.  The technique she focused on was using scraps of thin cardstock to create a striped background and then stamp on top using versamark and heat setting white embossing powder.  You can see her card and video on her Facebook page here

For my card I have used old olive, flirty flamingo, pacific point, Bermuda bay, pool party, mint macaron and Sahara sand. The flowers are from Forever Blossoms and heat embossed in whisper white. Flowers were then coloured in with Wink of Stella to highlight the flowers.
