Bauble Blooms with gold mercury vellum

A few more samples of cards using the bauble blooms stamp bundle paired with the gold mercury vellum. 

The first card on the left is a crumb cake base with a layer of real red and top layer the gold mercury vellum, the second card is just without the middle real red layer.  The baubles are stamped in versamark and gold heat embossed. 

The third card has half a panel of the gold mercury vellum and a basic white piece of card cut using the everyday arches dies which is embossed with the distressed tile 3d embossing folder (retired) and layered with versamark using the pad directly to the raised embossed pattern then sprinkled with gold embossing powder. 

Week 4 of 12 Weeks of Christmas - Festive Foliage meets the Smooching Technique

Welcome to week 4 of 12 Weeks of Christmas.  This week I have again used the Festive Foliage stamp set and paired it with the smooching technique.  

The smooching technique is such a fun technique.  Using a large clear block, swipe the ink pad over the block transferring ink to the block.  Do this with each colour.  Then spritz the block with water and then hand sanitizer and watch the colour swirl.  Dry completely.  Stamp the image using versamark and then  pour white embossing powder over the image. Heat set.

Ink:  pool party, coastal cabana, Bermuda Bay, pacific point, gorgeous grape

Card:  pool party, gorgeous grape, basic white, Bermuda Bay

CASING the CATTY - front cover using Ornate Style stamp set

I've been wanting to reproduce the image on the front of Stampin' Ups 2020 Annual catalogue for ages.  I decided to use the Ornate Style stamp set before it retires and try 3 different stamped image finishes.  

On my first card I have used rich razzleberry ink. 

On my second versamark with white embossing powder and on the third, versamark and clear embossing powder.

Products used:

Card:  basic white, pool party, just jade, mint macaron, crushed curry, blushing bride

Ink: just jade (sentiment), versamark, rich razzleberry

Accessories:  white and clear embossing powder, linen thread

Scrappy strips meets forever blossoms

Yesterday I had an awesome time watching a Facebook Live from Paula Dobson who is a fellow Stampin Up demonstrator from New Zealand.  The technique she focused on was using scraps of thin cardstock to create a striped background and then stamp on top using versamark and heat setting white embossing powder.  You can see her card and video on her Facebook page here. 

For my card I have used old olive, flirty flamingo, pacific point, Bermuda bay, pool party, mint macaron and Sahara sand. The flowers are from Forever Blossoms and heat embossed in whisper white. Flowers were then coloured in with Wink of Stella to highlight the flowers. 

Delicate Doilies part 2

These two cards use Wisteria Wonder base, stamped with delicate doilies with versamark and emossed with white embossing powder. Second card is coloured with elegant eggplant and wisteria wonder marker. The second card the images are coloured with wisteria wonder marker. Both cards use elegant eggplant as a layer. The first card uses the lace ribbon border punch.


This card base is calyso coral with chocolae chip lace ribbon border punch layer.
