Chalkboard Technique

Chalkboard technique - Love this technique. 2 ways to do this technique.

1. Stamp image with white craft ink. Using sponge daubers, apply chalk/pastels.

2) Stamp image with either white craft ink or versamark. Apply white embossing powder and heat set. Apply chalk/pastels using sponge daubers. Reheat, allowing the chalk melt into the embossed image.

Farewell freshcuts

This first card is stamped with early expresso on glossy white cardstock. The image is then sponged with rose red, marina mist and wild wasabi ink using sponge daubers. Where colours overlap blend together.

This second card is using the same technique as above but portrait view.
This time I have used markers with the direct to rubber technique. The colours I have used for this card are not quite navy, perfect plum, baja breeze, riding hood red.

Put piece of cardstock in freezer for about 20 seconds. Remove from freezer and bend cardstock to form cracks. Repeat several times. Apply early expresso in with a sponge dauber over cracks, rub off excess.

Farewell "Fun and Fast Notes"

I thought I would show the cards that we are making at Bel Air Creative Card Group today and on Friday. All cards are using stamps from the set "Fun and Fast notes". The first and second card are using the baby stamp with the first using pretty in pink as the base, layered with certainly celery and the circles pink pirouette. The second cards base is marina mist and layered with certainly celery and the circles are bashful blue. The fourth card is using the same stamp on a white base with a torn stirp of baja breeze and old olive. On both cards the 3 smaller circles have been cut out using the Sizzix Circles # 2 die and attached to the certainly celery and then embossed with the perfect polka dots textured embossing folder. The larger circle has been added as a feature with dimensionals. The third card is using the Christmas tree on whisper white with a base of riding hood red and a layer of old olive. This layer has been embossed with the petals a plenty textured impressions folder. The Christmas tree has been stamped on an oval which was cut out using the Sizzix ovals die. To line up the images on all the cards I have used the "Stamp-a-ma-jig" The Christmas Tree I have used "direct to rubber" technique using markers to colour in the image and then stamp. I have also used blender pens to go over some of the outlines to enhance the image.

Inlaid technique meets punched posies

All my cards today use the Punched Posies set.

This card uses pretty in pink for the base and whisper white for the layer. Happy Birthday stamp is from SAB 2011 Punch Bunch set.

For this card I have used the scallop circle die and cut out the sides to form the shape of the dress. There are many variations on the web for this style of dress, Dawn Olchefske's blog is where I got my inspiration from here.

This card I have used for the base marina mist. I have stamped the images using bashful blue and pumpkin pie ink.

On these cards I have stamped the images then glued them on whisper white and then run through the bigshot machine in the square lattice textured embossing folder.
