Telescoping Cards Part 1

Here are the cards we made at Bel Air Baptist Church Creative Card Group for the Thursday class in September.

We tried the Telescoping technique. This is where you have 3 varied sizes of circles and place them on top of each other in size order. You use plain circles or scalloped, plain cardstock or designer series paper (dsp). You can even use square shapes.

With the main image, I have used the rock n roll technique.

There are many tutorials on the net. The one I found helpful was from Dawn Olchefske.

Stamp Set: Vintage Vogue, happiest birthday wishes
Card: melon mambo, regal rose, whisper white
Ink: melon mambo, regal rose, pretty in pink
Accessories: scallop circle die, circle scissor plus, perfect pennants die

Stamp Set: printed Petals
Card: marina mist, baja breeze, whisper white
Ink: Island indigo, baja breeze, pool party
Technique: Telescoping card, rock and roll technique.

Inlaid technique meets punched posies

All my cards today use the Punched Posies set.

This card uses pretty in pink for the base and whisper white for the layer. Happy Birthday stamp is from SAB 2011 Punch Bunch set.

For this card I have used the scallop circle die and cut out the sides to form the shape of the dress. There are many variations on the web for this style of dress, Dawn Olchefske's blog is where I got my inspiration from here.

This card I have used for the base marina mist. I have stamped the images using bashful blue and pumpkin pie ink.

On these cards I have stamped the images then glued them on whisper white and then run through the bigshot machine in the square lattice textured embossing folder.
