Now about the cards that I have made today.

All the cards I have made today are using our new “Builder Wheels” -So many Stars and Birthday and Candle Crazy.

These cards use our new Builder wheel Spindle which allows you to assemble 3 smaller wheels into one which is the same size as our “Jumbo” wheel. The spindle also comes with spacers which allows you to use one or two wheels.

On the first card I have used the three wheels together, I have also used our new Triple Cell Cartridge. This allows you to ink each cell a different colour. I have used Tempting Turquoise, So Safron and Certainly Celery. Not sure if I am happy with the combination. Let me know what you think. On the background I have used the wheel again but this time I inked it up using tempting turquoise. I have then wheeled this diagonally across the card. It’s very eye catching stamping backgrounds on the diagonal. If you happen to have gone crooked, it’s forgiving and you don’t notice it because your eye isn’t drawn to it. It’s a bit like an optical illusion.

The second card I have used the “So Many Stars” with the spacer in the middle and then “Candle Crazy” straight on the real red stamp pad. I then have removed the 2 from the spindle and placed the “Birthday” on the spindle with the 2 spacers and wheeled using Pacific Point in the middle of the image. This gives you a 2 colour effect. I also have used the candles and balloons from “Party This Way” Stamp set. I love this card, so bright and cheery.

The last card I did something tricky. I put the “So Many Stars” on the spindle then the spacer and then the “Candle Crazy”. I wheeled the “So Many Stars in tempting turquoise on the edge of the stamp pad. I then wheeled the “Candle Crazy in certainly celery on the other edge of the stamp pad. With the spacer in the middle it allows you to do this. It gives a great space to stamp between to frame your greeting.

Well I hope you like my projects, I hope I have inspired you to give the new wheels a try.

It’s time to move on to Sherylee Tutt’s blog. Hope to see you again soon.

farewell to "All Scallops"

My cards today originally were "one layer cards", I have changed some to add more colour. I have used post it notes to frame an area to stamp in giving me a window for the "seeing spots stamps". I then have framed the images with the "all scallops stamps". It was a fun technique and would love to explore this technique more.

The base card is marina mist, layered with whisper white. I have stamped using Marina Mist, baja breeze and really rust.

The main images for this card are from "cottage garden stamp set". The colours that I have stamped are baja breeze, mellow moss and chocolate chip.

This stamp set is using Fabulous Flowers" stamp set. The stamped image layer is "one sheet wonder"

This card is using images from "A Beautiful Thing".

This card also uses a layer of "one sheet wonder". Stamp set used is Enjoy every moment.

Bloom Away

These two first cards are the same layout just with a different base. The first card has a really rust base and the second card has a very vanilla base. This last card has been added later, it's on a base of rose red with a layer of sage shadow. The image has been watercoloured. The sage shadow layer has been run through the square lattice textured impressions folder - this is called inlaid technique.

Bloomin' With Beauty on vellum

This was a fun technique to do. Base card is pretty in pink with a layer of whisper white. Stamp 3 images of the carnation flower on the vellum using versamark watermark. Emboss with white embossing powder. Use a blender pen the Stampin Pastels to colour in the flowers. Position the vellum over a layer of whisper white, noting where to place the "heartfelt" stamped image and the "birthday celebrations" stamped image.

Stamp Set: Bloomin with Beauty, upsy daisy, heartfelt thanks
Card: pretty in pink, whisper white, vellum
Ink: versamark, rose red
