Builder Wheels Happy Birthday revisited

For this card I have used marina mist for my base. I have also used the triple cell cartridge and inked it with wild wasabi, rose red and marina mist. These colours go really well together. I have also stamped the balloons from "party this way" in the same colours. The ribbon trim is also marina mist.

Builder Wheels Posy Party and Bees & Blossoms

The Cards that I have posted today I have used the builder wheels. These wheels are so versatile. This first card I have stamped on whisper white using basic gray. I have then coloured in with the Aqua Painter using the Watercolor Wonder Crayons. The whisper white is layered on tempting turquoise base. The happy birthday greeting is from "Party this Way" stamp set.

This second card I have used as my base the retired colour 'brilliant blue'. With my wheel this time I have inked up in ballet blue and riding hood red. I used the spindle with the spacer in the middle which created a space to put my greeting and my ric rac ribbon.

Now about the cards that I have made today.

All the cards I have made today are using our new “Builder Wheels” -So many Stars and Birthday and Candle Crazy.

These cards use our new Builder wheel Spindle which allows you to assemble 3 smaller wheels into one which is the same size as our “Jumbo” wheel. The spindle also comes with spacers which allows you to use one or two wheels.

On the first card I have used the three wheels together, I have also used our new Triple Cell Cartridge. This allows you to ink each cell a different colour. I have used Tempting Turquoise, So Safron and Certainly Celery. Not sure if I am happy with the combination. Let me know what you think. On the background I have used the wheel again but this time I inked it up using tempting turquoise. I have then wheeled this diagonally across the card. It’s very eye catching stamping backgrounds on the diagonal. If you happen to have gone crooked, it’s forgiving and you don’t notice it because your eye isn’t drawn to it. It’s a bit like an optical illusion.

The second card I have used the “So Many Stars” with the spacer in the middle and then “Candle Crazy” straight on the real red stamp pad. I then have removed the 2 from the spindle and placed the “Birthday” on the spindle with the 2 spacers and wheeled using Pacific Point in the middle of the image. This gives you a 2 colour effect. I also have used the candles and balloons from “Party This Way” Stamp set. I love this card, so bright and cheery.

The last card I did something tricky. I put the “So Many Stars” on the spindle then the spacer and then the “Candle Crazy”. I wheeled the “So Many Stars in tempting turquoise on the edge of the stamp pad. I then wheeled the “Candle Crazy in certainly celery on the other edge of the stamp pad. With the spacer in the middle it allows you to do this. It gives a great space to stamp between to frame your greeting.

Well I hope you like my projects, I hope I have inspired you to give the new wheels a try.

It’s time to move on to Sherylee Tutt’s blog. Hope to see you again soon.
