Welcome to Week 8 of 12 Weeks of Christmas. This post is a mini bloghop with Sue Allen, a demonstrator friend on The Central Coast. You will find the link to her blog further down in my post.
Today's card is a fun fold called Double Diagonal Fold Card and I saw this on fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Brenda Quintana's website. It was her Christmas in July post. You can see her post here.
For this card, you need a square with a diagonal of 27cm (easily divided into thirds) which gives a square measuring 19.12cm. With the card on the diagonal, line the corner of your card up on the 15cm line and score at 19.5cm and then at 24cm. Rotate and score on all 4 sides.
To decorate:
Crease all folds with a bone folder.
Cut 4 rectangles measuring 8.5cm x 4cm from the Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper.
Cut 2 squares measuring 5.5cm in a contrasting colour from the Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper. Cut these 2 squares in half on the diagonal.
Cut 1 square of basic white measuring 8.5cm. Stamp a sentiment and tree from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Real Red.
Using the detailed trio punch, punch a ribbon hole on 2 sides.
Fold as above and below.
Thread the ribbon through, and wrap around the back and out the other side and tie a bow.
