Tropical Layers CASE

Welcome, todays card is a CASE from Mary Brown. You can see her card here.  When I saw her card I just knew I wanted to make it and here is my version.

I started with a basic white base and a black layer.  My die cuts are from the Tropical Layers dies and they are Bermuda Bay, granny apple green and pool party.  The strips of DSP is from the Sunshine & Rainbows which is Sale-a-bration freebie when you spend $90 or more.  Sale-a-bration in Australia ends on 16/3/22.  The sentiment is  cut out using the stitched so sweetly dies and the sentiment is from the artfully layered stamp set.

Christmas in July - Tiding & Trimmings

This month at Belair Creative Cards we will be making 2 cards featuring the products from the Tidings of Christmas Suite.

My first card is a CASE and was inspired by Narelle Farrugia.  She is an amazingly talented demonstrator and you can see her original card here.

The base card is basic white, the first layer is misty moonlight and then basic white which is embossed with a new folder called Star-Crossed from the upcoming mini catalogue.   The scalloped rectangle is cut from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and the leaf is from the Artistic Dies.  The star and stocking are from the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set and coloured with pool party and misty moonlight.

My second card features the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper.  This paper has beautiful designs and is double sided with traditional red and greens on some sheets and a hint of sahara sand and misty moonlight on others.  A very versatile dsp for those who prefer traditional colours for their cards.  The star is cut from the "Christmas Trimmings" coordinating dies from the Tidings of Christmas Suite.  Sentiment is from For Unto Us.

Free as a Bird using the dot colouring technique

Today I have had another try of the dot colouring technique that I shared here.
On today’s card I used the free as a bird stamp set and I decided to try a stamp to create the dots. I used two stamps from the my meadow stamp set which worked really well.  I’m really happy with the effect. In the blank spaces, I then filled in using the Stampin Write markers.

Colours used are seaside spray, balmy blue,  pool party, coastal cabana, Bermuda Bay, and misty moonlight.
