Butterfly Brilliance in blues meets using dies to create a mask

In my card today I have stamped the Butterfly Brilliance stamp by applying ink to the stamp using sponge daubers with just jade, misty moonlight, night of navy, Bermuda Bay, pacific point, I then used the die which resembles a brick wall and cut out a mask, repeating the image several times to create a wall.  Layer this on the card and then sponge with smoky slate. To add further texture, run it through the tasteful textures embossing folder.  Sentiment is from art gallery stamp set.

Stitched leaves dies - Inlaid technique AUC March 2021

This month at the Adamstown Uniting Church card-making group we worked with embossing folders.  My technique was to teach the inlaid technique.  The Inlaid technique was very popular when we had the square lattice die a few years back.  It was in our 2011 Annual Catalogue and is still one of my favourite embossing folders.  For my card I decided to use the Stitched Leaves dies and show the difference between the square lattice and tasteful textures 3D embossing folder.

The first card is using the square lattice embossing folder which gives a very deep imprint

My second card uses the tasteful textures 3D embossing folder, and is a softer look.  The leaves are sponged with their corresponding colours and then glued on to the whisper white layer.
