Good Morning Magnolia meets Spanner Panel Three Layer Fun Fold technique

I saw this fun fold card this morning in my email feed from a blog that I subscribe to from a fellow demonstrator Wendy Lee from CreativeLee Yours.  You can see her amazing card here.  The technique is called Spanner Panel Three Layer Fun Fold.  I then googled to see if I could see any other cards with this technique and found a great video tutorial from Susan Campfield here.

For my card, I decided to use some new product that I received last week.  It features the good morning magnolia suite of products.

On the front panel I have used the magnolia lane bulk dsp together with the detailed bands dies and the small flower from the good morning magnolia stamp set stamped in mossy meadow.  I then cut a second flower with the die and layered the vellum leaves sandwiched in between.  The greeting is from last a lifetime stamp set on mossy meadow and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The card base is petal pink.

I added a panel of whisper white on the bottom panel with a strip on each side of the magnolia lane bulk dsp, then stamped the greeting in the middle with mossy meadow.

Scrappy strips meets forever blossoms

Yesterday I had an awesome time watching a Facebook Live from Paula Dobson who is a fellow Stampin Up demonstrator from New Zealand.  The technique she focused on was using scraps of thin cardstock to create a striped background and then stamp on top using versamark and heat setting white embossing powder.  You can see her card and video on her Facebook page here

For my card I have used old olive, flirty flamingo, pacific point, Bermuda bay, pool party, mint macaron and Sahara sand. The flowers are from Forever Blossoms and heat embossed in whisper white. Flowers were then coloured in with Wink of Stella to highlight the flowers.

I have used Lovely Flowers dies for this suite of projects.  The cardstock is elegant eggplant.

The place settings and thank you gift.

Detailed image of the place setting

Thankyou gift uses the greeting from the retired Made to Bloom card kit and the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder

The thank you card uses Lovely Flowers dies and Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Tropical Chic stamp set.

Timeless tulips revisited at Belair Creative Cards

This card came about as a variation of the card that we made at Belair Creative Cards in February. My card was CASED from Peggy Noe, fellow demonstrator. You can see her card here

The base card is blueberry bushel, with a layer of granny apple green.  The tulips stamped on whisper white using daffodil delight, then sponged the bottom of the tulip stamp with calypso coral.  Using the stamparatus, this technique is quick and easy.  The colours were then blended together with wink of stella.  Leaves and stems were stamped in granny apple green.  The background splatter was created using an aqua painter dipped into the lid of the basic gray stamp pad which had been pressed against the pad.  Squeeze the water through the aqua painter to get the water flowing then flick the barrel of the painter. Sentiment is stamped in blueberry bushel and layered on a strip of blueberry bushel.

Geared up garage meets family party

One of my nephews had a significant birthday so I decided to make him a card using Geared Up Garage.  The first three cards have the same elements, using different colours and the 3rd, different orientation.

My first card below is on a base of crumb cake with a layer of  Golden Honey Specialty DSP.  The sentiment is from Family Party stamp set stamped on crumb cake using memento ink using the stamparatus and then reinking with versamark then applying clear embossing powder and heat set.  The car is stamped on basic black and embossed in gold.

My second card has a base of whisper white, dsp layer is Country Club dsp.  Sentiment is on garden green, also stamped in memento black and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The car is stamped on night of navy and clear embossed.

My third card uses a base of smoky slate and has a layer of Classic Garage dsp (retired).  The layer is crumb cake and the car is stamped on basic black with silver embossing powder.

The last card is has a slightly different style, base of crushed curry with a layer of Classic Garage dsp and sentiment stamped on crushed curry and clear heat embossed.  Car is also stamped on basic black with silver embossing powder.

Belair Creative Cards - Feb 2020 - Timeless Tulips

Our class this month will focus on the Timeless Tulips stamp set found in the new Stampin Up mini catalogue.  This stamp set is a photopolymer stamp set and is so easy to work with.  It has a coordinating punch which cuts out beautiful images and is super versatile.
